Data Architecture
Platform & Real-Time Data
What is OddsLab and how does the terminal work?
OddsLab is a quantitative sports intelligence terminal. We maintain direct, low-latency WebSocket connections to major legal sportsbooks (including FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, BetRivers, and Pinnacle). Our servers ingest millions of live odds lines, spreads, totals, and player props every second, benchmark them against mathematical simulation models, and surface mispriced market opportunities in real time.
How fast are sportsbook odds updated?
For Pro and Team subscribers, line movements and odds changes are ingested and rendered in sub-second intervals (<250ms latency). This ensures you catch line discrepancies, sharp moves, and market corrections before sportsbooks freeze lines or other bettors take the value.
Which sports and leagues are covered?
We provide full coverage for NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, NCAAF, NCAAB, and top European soccer leagues (English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, La Liga). Markets include full-game moneylines, spreads, alternate totals, team totals, and hundreds of player proposition markets.
Quantitative Strategy
Positive Expected Value (+EV) & Models
What is Positive Expected Value (+EV) in sports betting?
Expected Value (+EV) is the mathematical calculation of how much money a bettor can expect to win (or lose) per wager placed at the same odds over time. Sportsbooks build a profit margin (vig or juice) into their lines. When OddsLab discovers a sportsbook offering odds where the implied probability is lower than our calculated true fair probability, that bet yields positive expected value. Over hundreds of wagers, betting +EV beats the house edge.
How do you calculate fair odds without vig?
We utilize multiple devigging mathematical models (including the multiplicative model, additive model, and power model) referenced against market maker sportsbooks with the sharpest limits. By stripping the bookmaker fee, we isolate the true consensus fair probability of each market.
What is Closing Line Value (CLV)?
Closing Line Value (CLV) is the gold standard benchmark for measuring sports betting skill. It compares the price you locked in against the final odds when the match begins. If you consistently bet lines that close higher than what you paid (e.g. betting Celtics -3.5 and they close at -5.5), you are mathematically proven to be a winning long-term bettor, independent of short-term match variance.
Billing & Access
Subscriptions & Free Trials
How does the 7-day free trial work?
When activating a Pro trial, you have 7 full calendar days of unlimited access to our sub-second odds feeds, +EV scanners, and player prop projections. If you decide OddsLab is not for you, cancel anytime prior to the end of day 7 and you will not be billed.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes, absolutely. You can cancel your subscription with a single click directly inside your account settings. There are no cancellation penalties, minimum commitments, or hidden fees. Your access remains active until the end of your billing cycle.
Is OddsLab a sportsbook or an analytics tool?
